Heather + Max | Squaw Valley Intimate Wedding

Here’s the thing about weddings (and let’s be real, life in general), chances are something won’t go according to plan… But here’s the other thing, it really truly is okay and can actually end up being epic as fuck!

The days leading up to Heather + Max’s wedding day we watched the chance of rain increase, months and months of planning and this one day the skies were deciding to pour down water… Heather + Max scrambled to rent tents to cover their guests, tables, catering team and everything else. Sure enough, the night before it absolutely poured. Things flooded and nearly nothing went to plan... BUT, Heather + Max kept smiling (maybe a little crying, but mostly smiling) and kept moving forward. Keith actually spent the afternoon helping to set up the ceremony space for these two, creating the most beautifully intimate ceremony. He set up the chairs facing inwards so all their guests surrounded them, and the wedding party huddled close around them.

It really was an absolutely incredible day!! Everyone came together and made it happen for these two. It’s such a good reminder to surround yourself with good people, to go with the flow, don’t fight the things you can’t control, and embrace the storm! The rain fell as they said their vows and then the clouds parted and the sun came out to give us the most beautiful gift! everything dried and we partied the night away in the most beautiful secluded little venue in the foothills of the Sierras.
